The X201t has a second power button on the display (obviously to allow the system to be switched off in tablet mode, when the display covers the keyboard and the "normal" power button). Can one redefine, what that button does? I want this button to switch the system to standby mode instead of powering it off, but I found no place to reconfigure that.

Can one redefine, what the display power button does?
Re: Can one redefine, what the display power button does?
if you're using windows 7, open the 'power options' control panel. along the left will be an option to "choose what the power buttons do". click this and you'll be presented with options to alter the behavior of the power button.
the only drawback on the tablet is that they cannot be programmed independently. both will have whichever function you select.

Thanks - I found that out in the meantime, too. Would have been nice, if the display power button could trigger "suspend" and the main power button "hibernate". Guess, that's left for the next generation of tablets.
