Waking up an X201t from suspend without touching keyboard?

I often use my X201t in "real" tablet mode, i.e. with the display afixed over the keyboard - e.g. taking notes during a meeting, sketching ideas, etc. What I find a rather odd and sometimes annoying, is that in that configuration there is no way to wake the system up when it has been suspended! One has to unlock and open the lid and touch one of the keys underneath to wake it up again.

And, alas, that's not the only case of Window's "slate-mode" not fully thought through to the very end...

PS.: And as I wrote in an other append: removing the pen from its bay does NOT wake the system up from suspend, even though the corresponding option is ticked in the tablet settings...

odd, I can wake mine by just swiping my finger over the scanner. when the tablet is at sleep, the green LED at the scanner is lit, indicating that it is ready to scan. doesn't your one do the same thing?

Nope, my fingerprint reader is "dead" in suspend mode.
(does any one have an idea how to change that?)

However, I just noticed that pressing the power button again wakes up the system. That must be new. I am sure I tried that before without success.
