SSD for X220i

#1 Post by AbeW » Fri May 13, 2011 2:38 pm

Hi,
I want to buy an X220i and have a 120GB Intel X25-M Sata SSD can I use that on the X220i?
It is a 2.5" SSD. Does anybody know if the X220i uses a 2.5"drive?
Thanks,
Abe

If you have the 9.5mm version you'll have to remove the black spacer to make it 7mm.

How does the X220i differ from the X220?

Hi Jason404
A X220i is the same as aX220 except it has the Intel i3 cpu instead of an i5 or i7

@AbeW
Thanks. I might consider getting one, if they are also available with an IPS screen and if the battery life is longer.
