How to best replace broken mousepad button on x300?

#1 Post by andresmh » Sat Jun 18, 2011 11:20 am

Two questions:

1. Where can I buy a replacement? I believe it the whole palm rest would have to be replaced, right?
2. Are there any video tutorials on how to replace it? I remember a while ago I saw a website that had these kind of video tutorials.

It's an X300. Where do I get the "Ultranav assembly"?

Great. I am looking for a store (online/offline) that might sell it so I can charge it to my company (they don't refund ebay purchases).

Well, the FRU# for an X300 Palm rest with fingerprint reader is 42X5021. You can order it directly from Lenovo for $115 plus tax and shipping...or you can google the FRU# for other sources.
