TPU keyboard covers

There are tons of these, i search and didn't find anything about keyboard covers..

are these safe to use ? I just dont want a co-workers greasy hand to go all over the shinny new machine

i seen some older x61 that i had where when you close the screen, the keyboard and track point is marred on the lcd screen, leaving that ugly scuff marks
