Thank you Windows Son. I will keep this in mind when it is time to swap the card (so far so good), especially if I get relocated, new office may not be 1x1 friendly.
Now, the priority is to fix the studder/intermittent freeze issue I am having with my x220.
Thanks again for all your answers. Hopefully the topic will answer others' questions in the future.
