Problem with Wireless Radio

Ever since I received my X220 baby, I haven't been able to connect to my home wireless network. I have been spending hours and hours trying to fix this illogical problem, but I have run out of ideas. I would really appreciate your expert advice on the issue described below.

This has to do with my Intel Ultimate-N 6300 Wireless Card, running on Windows 7 Professional. My laptop won't detect any wireless network.

As of right now, the wireless radio symbol at the rim of the screen is on; I also made sure that the radio wireless switch is set on 'on'. I checked Device Manager --> Network Adapters: the Wireless Card is installed and enabled with the most updated driver.

I checked Network Connections --> Wireless Network Connection --> Diagnose --> There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection adapter.

When I checked Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox, I found the following contradictory results:
- Internet connection: Wireless Radio State: Hardware Disabled

- Device Manager Alerts: Status: All installed devices are enabled

Fn+F5 shows Wireless Radio is Off. I clicked on Power on. Nothing happened. It's still Off.

So, in short, for whatever reason, the wireless radio is turned off and I don't know how to turn it on. I'm quite frustrated right now; everything else works great but this is a huge turn-off. What's a laptop without wireless capabilities?

I would really, really appreciate your help. Thanks a lot and have a great day!

Uninstall whatever wireless driver you have and install this one -
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloa ... MIGR-77063

Make sure you adhere to the prerequisites -

ThinkVantage Access Connections version 5.80 or higher for:
Windows 7
Windows Vista
Windows XP
ThinkPad Power Management Driver for Windows 98 SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista/7 version 1.60 or higher
Hotkey Features Integration for Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000 version 3.11.0001 or higher
You may need to re-enter security information after updating the Wireless LAN driver.
AMT 4.2 or later must be used for Wireless Intel(R) AMT capabilities. If AMT 4.1 or earlier version is used, Wi-Fi driver must be version 12.x You have nothing to do with that without using the AMT.

I downloaded the latest drivers from lenovo and installed them, then restarted the system.

Wireless drive: check (after uninstalling the current driver)
ThinkVantage Access Connections: check
Thinkpad Power Management Driver: check
Hotkey Features Integration: check

The problem persists. Wireless light is on but Wireless Radio State says: Hardware Disabled.

Go downtown and order a Grande Mocha Latte at Starbucks and bring your X220. If you can't connect wirelesly there call Lenovo for service. You could also try a Linux Live CD at home to see if that will allow you to connect.
