X201s Keyboard Bezel and WLAN Question

Hello,

First Question- I wanted to upgrade the WLAN on my X201s (5143-28U) to the 6300 and I would like to know if it would work without getting an 1804 error, I already have the 3 antenna wires in the Laptop

Second Question- since I got the laptop about a year ago I have had a problem with the keyboard bezel, the top right side (closest to the LCD) does not latch properly and keeps popping up, what would anyone think the problem would be?

I love my X201s, it has been a perfect little companion this last year and I am doing a hardware update, maxing the ram, replacing the rubber rails on my OCZ Vertex SSD (30gig), my cracked Hard Drive cover, and getting new Batteries (a 4-cell and a 9-cell, my last 9-cell got down to 38Wh and needed to be replaced).

Thanks for the help.

The Hardware Maintenence Manual will list the devices that are compatible with your X201.
Not sure about the bezel issue but the service videos are quite good for looking at the laptop being dissembled which might give you some idea of what the problem is.

It does not list my exact model, but it does list the first part of my type.

I have always just flashed a modified BIOS before, with my R61e and T61, but I would like to stay with the official BIOS' with my x201s, still got 2 years left on my warranty

Standard BIOS will accept it, i.e.., no need for modified BIOS.

Thank you

I will take the x201s apart later to see what I can see with the keyboard bezel, i have taken it apart a few times before, but I have never looked at it that closely

Edit: I just took the keyboard bezel off and inspected both sides of the latch, I can't see anything wrong with it
