No dual-channel 4GB option for X220 (no biggie?)

I always try to get 2 DIMMs so I can have dual-channel ram on my computers. I was bummed to see there is no 2 DIMM option for the 4GB. I know the performance gain is not huge, but still.

Anybody think I should go with the 2 DIMM 6GB option? Do you think it's worth $80 extra? I don't want to spend it though just for dual-channel. I don't mind spending it though if the extra 2 GB will help future proof the computer or give me some occasional benefit if I have a lot of Apps open. Do you think 2 extra GB ram will just sit unused for web surfing, document writing, video watching, and music listening?

I'm basing off a lenovo configured computer. I don't want to mess with installing stuff myself.

2 screws and a piece of metal.

The whole thing start to finish took me 30 seconds, and that includes the time I spent taking out the battery and putting it back in.

I tried adding RAM once to a computer. I could never get it to work. I spent an hour on the phone with Tech Support. Still no joy. It left a bad taste in my mouth :0

For the price of 8GB from Lenovo you can fly me to your house, pay me $100, I'll install it, and then fly home... you might even have enough to take me out for a thank-you steak dinner.
