Upgrading X200s with 3G/WWAN

I'm would like to add 3G/WWAN to my X200s (7466-3HU).
I know this isn't a supported option but I remember reading about others successfully managing such an upgrade.

How difficult is this upgrade? What exact component will work? and where can I get them?

I'm living in Denmark - so an European source of components and compatibility with European networks is preferred.

You need WWAN antennas and a GSM WWAN module.

If you have the WXGA (1280×768) screen, then you can add the WWAN antennas to the LCD casing, if they are not there already.

If you have the WXGA+ (1440×900) screen, then you need to disassemble the LCD casing and replace all the antennas (i.e., including the WLAN antennas) with the antenna set for the X200 (FRU #44C5394). You may try the following type of antenna(s) if you prefer avoiding disassembly of the LCD casing and replacing all the antennas:

You can use a Lenovo-branded Ericsson F3507g card (FRU #43Y6537), or you can install a modified BIOS which will permit any miniPCIe GSM WWAN card, Lenovo-branded or not.

Everything needed is available on eBay.

Thank you very much for the reply.

I'll order the components and do the upgrade!
