Slim Drive and UltraBase Series 3 question

I have done a lot of searching and have also tried to call Lenovo directly to find an answer to my question:
Does the UltraBay Blu-Ray Slim Drive (43N3215, 9.5 mm, serial ATA) for the X200 UltraBase also work in the new UltraBase Series 3 for the ThinkPad X220?
Also, is the black front bezel on the slim drive for the X200 UltraBase different from a slim drive for the new UltraBase 3 Series?
