Hello
I have a X220 with the Ericsson F5521gw, but i will have to remove it to put a mSATA SSD (I want to sell it to help me buying the mini SSD).
Do you know if this module can go into another X220 ? Or any other thinpad with the same PCIe ? Or other laptop from other brand ?
And is there a country limitation ? (mine was bought in France on july)
Regards,

That WWAN adapter can be used in any X220 with a free slot. It can also be used in other models, like the T420 and even some ThinkPad Edge models. In fact, that adapter will work in a ThinkPad Tablet. I pulled one from a ThinkPad Edge E120 and installed it in a ThinkPad Tablet, just this week.
If/when you remove it, be sure to pull the plastic covers over the antenna tips so nothing shorts out. The plastic covers should be on the antenna leads. If the plastic covers are missing, use electrical tape.

Thanks for your help Underclocker !
I removed the WWAN card yesterday to put a mSATA SSD, and i isolated the antenna tips as you said.
It means that other Lenovo like T420 have the antenna and the SIM socket even if they were not sold with a WWAN board ?

Yes, the T420 comes with the wires and slot (behind the battery).
It's all a common chassis, after all- no need to have 2 plastic moulds/forms when one will do.
