Thinkpad X220 keyboard width--from Capslock to Enter

Hello,

I had a T61 which was the perfect keyboard size as I have a wrist disability and have to minimize outward twisting (such as is done to hit the 'shift' key). I just bought a T420 and very sadly, the keyboard is too large and pained my wrist within 5 minutes.

I am trying to figure out what is the WIDTH of the X220 keyboard from the left edge of the Capslock key to the right edge of the Enter key? On the T61 it is 11.25" which has been good, so I am hoping it is comparable.

I have looked online everywhere and have called Lenovo but have not been able to get this information. If anyone out there has an X220 and could make this measurement for me, I would be so, so grateful.

Thank you!

X220 uses the exact same keyboard as the T420, which is a full-sized laptop. It is full-sized in every sense. I love it, best ThinkPad I ever used, including the keyboard quality and feel.

If your T61 works for you, why upgrade? Unless you're doing processor intensive tasks, perhaps you are, a T420 won't offer much of an upgrade performance wise.

I just did. The X220 keyboard from the left edge of CapsLk to the right edge of Enter measures 11.25", exactly the same as on your T61. Hope that helps.
