Does this site help? https://download.lenovo.com/eol/index.html
Search under Type/Series/Subseries and Category, there is a ~400MB recovery image for Win7 and a readme file.
Daily driver since 2011: T410, i7-640M (formerly i5-520M), 8GB RAM, EVO 860, 1440x900, Windows 10.

This site has the OEM image disc! https://download.lenovo.com/eol/index.html

Drill down to your model and it is listed under the pull down for Category select "Recovery". There is a Windows 7 disk image there ~400MB!

I didn't see anything on that page about a system image disc for his system.

Just a lot of drivers and Windows updates.

You are not going to find the recovery disc / disc sets on any lenovo.com site. The ms license terms won't allow it. The only way to get them from Lenovo is to call with your system's MTM And serial # and then they will Sell you a set for that specific system's originally as sold config - IF they still have the discs. They most likely still have the T410 disc sets which are the same for T410 T410s T510 and W510. I know this because I had to buy a set before.

Images of a three DVD set to recover Windows 7 Professional to your ThinkPad T410 can be downloaded here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... UpMzdth9Kp

The installation process will also create a fully-functional recovery partition that can be accessed by pressing F11 at startup.

OK, I was trying to hold off on a response with all of the other responses, but I now feel compelled to chime in.

1. I do have the original T410 Windows 7 Pro, x86 and x64 recovery sets. I ripped the ISOs myself from original DVDs from Lenovo which I have archived in my media collection. Each is two DVDs - one is the OS and the other is the drivers and applications specific to that model. The OS disc is used in several other sets of the same generation, paired with the drivers/applications disc for those other models. The OS disc can also be used by itself if you want to set up the only the drivers and applications you want yourself, without needing to activate Windows. For example, I have used the T420 OS restore discs to get an OEM activated Windows 7 Pro x64 w/SP1 install on T61s, with Middleton BIOS.

2. The link shared by another poster to a Google Drive folder with a recovery set is not the original T420 restore set. That set is 4 DVDs - two for the OS (Windows 7 Pro x64 with SP1 spans two discs - without SP1 it is one disc, like in the T410 set) and two drivers/applications discs. The readme clearly states the set of 3 discs was obtained from a filesharing/torrent website so I have to question their authenticity. Again I have the original 4-disc set from Lenovo which I ripped to ISO.

3. Barring installed updates or applications/drivers, many of the Windows 7 restore sets will work on similar models. However restore sets are not issued one-for-all from Lenovo, with exception to 14/15" models of the same series (e.g. T400/T500 are the same set). There are separate sets for T420/520, W520, X220 etc.

4. I am happy to provide the sets the OP wants, on the conditions I already listed in my recovery set thread which was quoted here by yet another member. Member for two weeks minimum, with meaningful posts. Or, at least a 2-month member regardless of post count. I will not respond to PMs or requests for restore media from members not meeting these criteria.

I have personally used it on the T410, T410s, T420, T420s, T400, T500, X220, X230, T430 and T430s and it worked perfectly with all of them.

Think, and Do the math, dude. This is after all a THINKPad forum. The recovery sets are 4 discs. I don't know how that T420 set is only 3. That's 4 DVDs with about 3-4GB on each or about 15-16GB.

And you expect a 400MB DL to have 16GB worth of stuff on it???

MikaIE, I meant my earlier post for muser99.

Terminator, you have a T420 set for W7P64? I didn't notice that earlier. I'll be PMing you later. I found some of my diskettes too and Think I have the rest here, but they are buried. I just need to figure out how to host large files without paying for the storage costs. Is google drive free (with a limit of course)??

I sure do. Managed to get the set for nothing while my T420 was still in warranty. :)

I use Google Drive to send them. Personal accounts have a 15GB limit on total use but there is no limit otherwise on individual file size.

Please read the bolded text.

Terminator went through a lot of time effort and $$$ to accumulate these recovery disc sets. The forum owners only ask that those wanting to participate in this become established contributing members of the group. And that includes a minimum length of time to be in and be active in the forums.

If you cannot wait the appropriate time, then the link that johnmcdonnel posted has a 3 disc set that others state WILL restore a T410. You can also call Lenovo, they will sell you an original set. They won't give you one unless you system is still in warranty.
