T520 - 4242Y11 - No boot from ultrabay-hdd?

Hi guys,
I am using my T60 since ages ago in a way that I have two seperately encrypted HDDs fitted in the standard slot and the other with an Ultrabay adapter. With the T60 this worked well as I need two independent Windows-installations that must not "see each others files".
Anyway, to cut it short, this does not work anymore with my new T520 when using the Ultrabay adapter .... it simply does not boot from the HDD in the Ultrabay-adapter (FRU 43N3429)... When I swap disks the other one works fine, so it is not a question of a broken HDD or damaged MBR.
This morning I called Lenovo and they told me that this is normal and that with T520 the HDD in the adapter is not able to be booted from. Can this really be true? I mean, the DVDrom also boots from there and all the other machines I know of (T43 , T60 and T61) are also able to boot from there?
Any ideas? And if it really should be the case, I will have to do a 2-windows-install on one disk with bootmanager, but then how can I achive that the two installtions can't see each others file-structures?
Any help hugely appreciated....
Cheers
Terry
