Weird Thinkpad T500 Fn+F3 Problem

#1 Post by t500dawg » Sun Dec 04, 2011 3:51 am

Hey all,

I have a thinkpad T500 that's around two years old and running Windows 7 Ultimate. I like the google chrome browser, however whenever I have google chrome running, my Fn+F3 does not turn off the monitor like it usually does. I have checked the settings and it is properly set to turn off the screen. Furthermore, Fn+F3 will not even turn off the monitor after I close chrome. If chrome has been used at all, the monitor refuses to turn off. Does anyone else have this problem/know what's wrong?

Thanks a lot! Still a newbie so sorry if i broke any rules

I think it might has something to do with the shockwave flash plug-in...whenever I end this plug-in process in the chrome task manager, the Fn+F3 works, however this is a pretty important and widely used plugin so...I hope theres a way around it
