Connectivity prob with intel 802.11 adapter T410s

My WiFi adapter will power down 2-3 times a day and not power up without rebooting the T410s. It happens at home and away, so I couldn't imagine that it's my router; but, I replaced it anyway. The problem is that it will not detect any wireless network on the WiFi setting. Only WiMax is available. Using Fn+F5 shows that the 802.11 adapter is powered off. Pressing the "power on" button creates no response. I have to reboot in order to power it back on. Then it works fine until the next time... Strangely, I am able to power the Bluetooth and WiMax on and off from that screen. Device manager shows that the driver is up-to-date. I have disabled all hibernate settings. Any ideas...?

TIA,
anthony

I was running Access Connections version 5.62. A poster at the Lenovo forums recommended that I download the patch for 5.62 http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloa ... D=DS002631 and then update my Access Connections to the latest version (5.85). http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloa ... MIGR-73682. I will report back in a week or so to let you know if if the problem recurs.

Well, that didn't work. It went out again today. The wifi turned off and I had to reboot in order to restart it. Fn/F5 could not turn it back on. Oh well... Sure is aggravating....
