How do I reinstall windows 7?

I got viruses on my thinkpad t420i and after removing them my windows is left very corrupted. The laptop came with Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit and the product key says OEM. I bought it on ebay and only received the laptop and charging cable, no discs.

hi there
If you hard drive is still 'factory standard' one - than you are in luck.
a) From POWER button = press F1 and than you will see set of instructions
b) Just follow them (choose REINSTALL and or RECOVER options)...
c) and you should have windows 7 ........ just dont be in big rush during these process as it takes a while !! ...... AND you will see lots of weird screens etc , just let IT DO ITS THINGS....
d) You get WINDOWS LOGIN SCREEN ( first time log-in screens) if all goes well
If you dont have the 'factory standard' hard drive ( @ F1- and it says nothing found = means you dont have factory drive or its corrupted) than the easily way = CALL LENOVO - 1800 IBM SERV and than give your laptop details and order your set of RECOVERT DISKS (cost approx 50$ last time I checked)..... best and safest way . That way you can keep them for ever !
