Hi,
I have had a T500 for about 3 years. The first thing I did when I got it was install my own copy of Win XP. In so doing I lost a lot of the custom device drivers (ie, for the wireless card) but as I've always used this machine docked effectively as a desktop, I've never really cared. However I'll be travelling with it this weekend and need to use wireless so I just kicked off the think vantage updater (which I guess I installed shortly after I got the machine) and had it download / install all 50 updates or whatever.
Having done this the good news is that it looks like I now have wireless support (haven't actually tried it yet, but it's telling me that it's found a a network in range). The not so good news is that for some reason my display resoultion is now set to 640x480 with 4 bit color. When I right click on the desktop and choose properties -> settings tab it allows me to change the settings to my preferred 1280x1024, 32 bit color but when I choose apply or OK nothing happens except that the listed settings return to 640x480, 4-bit color. The machine is essentially unusable at this resolution and I can't figure out how to proceed.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance
