I have a T410s and the rear two rubber feet are missing. That's the two little rubber pads on the bottom by the hinge. Not sure when they fell off, but heck my T410s is almost new and under warranty, I figured a quick call would have some sent over. In the past Thinkpad support has been awesome about this kind of thing having a part number for the little pads and stickers.
I call up support and the CS agent put me on hold at least 5 times making me wait close to an hour while she tried to track down a part number. At first she tells me that the pads cannot be installed alone and that the entire machine has to be dissembled to install them. That's right, those two little rubber stickers? Need to completely gut the machine. After I told her that couldn't possibly be true and I was put on hold again she came to the conclusion that they don't have a separate part number for the rubber pads and she'd have to send me the entire laptop assembly (which apparently includes the display cover as well?!). For two little rubber pads. I told her I thought that was a ridiculous waste. She told me that "If any of the parts are damaged you will be charged". Wait... what? So I ask "So after I remove the pads I have to ship the remaining parts back?" She says "No, but if anything is damaged you will be charged." So uh, I can keep the extra parts but if I damage them, I should call Lenovo and ask them to bill me? Wtf. I tell her to forget about it because that's just ludicrous. She offers to have me send in my laptop so the service center can install the pads. Two f***ing rubber sticker pads.
So I ask you, has Lenovo support gone the way of Apple by requiring a new unit for a silly ridiculous problem, or was this CS agent just inept? Extra points if you can find a FRU for the rubber feet.
Edit: Found the FRU in the Hardware Maintenance Manual 60Y4866. It includes a lot of little latches and springs, how the hell did she not find this?

Re: Thinkpad parts service issue
I would make another attempt. On calling I have found a wide range of helpfullness.
Another option is the electronic service call here.
