t43 / t60 CDRW/DVDRW compatibility question

#1 Post by jakeibm » Thu Jan 19, 2012 11:31 am

I have a ThinkPad T43 (2686-M5U) and i want to take my CDRW/DVDRW and put it into a t60 (1952-CTO). Are they compatible?

Thanks

As i just verified myself in a T61+, they are fully compatible. The only difference is the drive bezel, which has a different design in the T6x and therefore doesn't fully match. But this is just of aesthetic concern as function is in no way affected.
