Adjust two-finger ultranav scrolling speed?

Hi folks,
The two finger scrolling on my touchpad is so sensitive as to be totally unusable. I'm not sure if it's just the sensitivity, or if there's some jerkiness in there as well, but it's just totally impossible to use.
I have the ultranav sensitivity turned up, since I like the pointing sensitivity, and I wonder if that has made the scrolling very sensitive too? I'm not sure.
Anyone else encounter this issue also? Any ideas how to fix it?
thanks!

Under the feature for "Scrolling" there is a scrolling speed selector. The option I am talking about is not under the "One Finger Scrolling" or "Two Finger Scrolling" subfeatures, but the scrolling option itself. I have touch sensitivity pretty low on my machine, and then the scrolling speed is pretty low as well.
Disable all smart check features.
This was the only way I could make the scrolling on the touchpad usable. Too bad they can't make it work like on the Asus Zenbook. The scrolling on that laptop is perfect, including it's momentum feature.

thanks jayton. Yeah, that helps some, but it's still real jumpy. Either the hardware sucks, or the software sucks. It's like it's not real good at sensing your fingers on the trackpad, and it seems to lose them sometimes or something. I tried stock synaptic drivers in the past, and if i remember correctly, it didn't really help the scrolling issue (though I can't really remember for sure). So, my guess is that there's some hardware crappiness in there.
Yeah, it's not just the asus that does the scrolling well - almost ALL modern laptops seem to! I'm always so impressed when i use someone else's computer and their scrolling works nicely! It's strange - I image some of those laptops I've used that have great scrolling, also have synaptics trackpads. I mean, so many laptops have synaptics these days. So, I wonder what it is about the thinkpad that makes it suck so bad.
I like the thinkpads for their sturdy construction, but too many of these lame little issues (like crappy lcds and crappy trackpads) and i'll start to be less of a proud thinkpad owner and more of a thinkpad owner looking for something better!

Hi, I had the same problem, the only solution is to replace the knobby touchpad-surface with a smooth one, this makes the scrolling as smooth as the best touchpads out there, good luck! I describe how to change the surface here in this post, it is really easy:

hey - cool! So, you really found that the scrolling is vastly improved with this? I'm loathe to remove the sticker, but if there are serious improvements, I'll consider it. I wonder what it does to the warranty - any idea?

Yes the scrolling works completely and totally flawless now (and firefox scrolls smoother than IE by the way), did this modification with both an t410 and a t400s - same perfect result. Wait for the new smooth stickers to arrive and tear of the old sticker and apply the new one with care. I dont think it does anything to your warranty, as you are not touching the internals of the computer - juste replacing one sticker with another. After the modification you might need to adjust the senibility and speed of the scrolling again, dont remember. Good luck!

Cool, thanks. Anyone else have good (or bad) experiences with this method?
