PC Doctor For DOS

I am a long time Thinkpad owner and recently purchased a T500 from eBay that required parts to get it working. I now have the parts in place and thought I would run the old bootable PC Doctor for DOS against the "new" machine. The hardware maintenance manual specifically mentions running it for diagnostics.
I went to Lenovo looking for it and get only a blank page where the download link should be. Has Lenovo discontinued the product or something? I also tried Google-ing "PC Doctor for DOS T500" and get the same links pointing to blank Lenovo pages.
Anyone have any info on this?
Thanks -Dan

Hmm... this is not good. I can't even access PC Doctor for DOS for the older systems (T23, A31p, etc.) either. I put in a question at Lenovo Forums about this so we'll see what comes back.

They have replaced it with a really crummy diagnostic program that only does a simple memory test and a disk test, similar to what is in the BIOS

I have PC Doctor for DOS 7.0 for T2x TP's on a CD. I've run it on my T21. I just booted it on my T410, but since it is only for T2x systems, after selecting the T2x option (the only option availible), I shortly got an error message: "That is the wrong diskette for this ThinkPad. Please insert the correct diskette."
I also have PC Doctor for DOS on 3 floppies.

Right. I have the PC Doctor for A31 and it does not work on the T500 at all. Does anyone have a T500 version saved off somewhere? I see on the Lenovo forums, the tech reps were still mentioning it until mid-Feb. 2012, so it was only recently removed. There WAS a T500 version out there until very recently...

Basic response from Lenovo is that PC Doctor has been removed due to contract issues. A replacement program is being rolled out but is not yet certified for use with older systems:

The replacement works on systems that hace AHCI turned on in the BIOS, but it isn't worth the download time. It does only a quick memory test and a disk test similar to what's in the BIOS. Nothing else is tested.
