Adding a SIM card slot to a T400

Hi guys. I have an opportunity to buy a used T400 model 2767 CTO but the owner said that it does not come with a SIM card slot. I am wondering if any of you have had any experience adding a SIM card slot to this model.

The only thing that I found was from the Lenovo site: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product ... MIGR-71497

Based on these two findings, would it be safe to come to the conclusion that I can modify a T400 to have a SIM card slot?

It sounds like you should be good with adding the SIM card slot. It may be possible that the slot is already there. Every T400 I've come across has one already. I also have a T500 without the WWAN light (the area with all the lights looks like this: http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9 ... PiYthLQvfb ) and it has a SIM card slot.

Great. Thanks for the reply. I think the slot maybe there already but the current owner may not have realized it.
