T500 ExpressCard - How Does Show Up in Device Manager?

I bought a new ExpressCard/34 with eSata and my T500 is not recognizing it. My T500 has a dual PCMCIA card slot with a traditional full width PCMCIA slot type on the bottom with an ExpressCard 34/54mm slot on the top.
When I bring up Device Manager and look at PCMCIA Adapters, I am only seeing one device listed. Shouldn't I be seeing two devices there? The one device that is shown is identified as: Ricoh R/RL/5C476(II) or Compatible Card Bus Controller - PCI Slot 1 (PCI bus 21, device 0, function 0).
On my older A31's with two traditional PCMCIA slots, the Device Manager shows two devices identified as: Ricoh R/RL/5C476(II) or Compatible Card Bus Controller - one for PCI Slot 1 (PCI bus 2, device 0, function 0) and one for PCI Slot 2 (PCI bus 2, device 0, function 1).
Doesn't the T500 have in essence two PCMCIA slots? And shouldn't they both show up in Device Manager?
