TYPES of ram for Type 2055-RY4

I have been told this model can take up too 8GB but when I had 2 4GB of ram DDR3
the system beeped and did not booted, what ram does this model of T500 accept?

It should take any DDR3-8500. Make sure the chips are well seated. If you have problems, remove and replace them.

By replacing do you mean in and out? Or getting new ones?

For I have the same problem with my T410s 2901-CTO: I tried upgrading from 2x2Gb to 2x4Gb, but it won't boot.

After putting back the old ones it works just as before tough.

EDIT: went back fiddling with it. At first it wouldn't work, but after inverting the units it finally booted properly.
