I have a T410 that originally came with the 500GB Hitachi drive. I've replaced it with a 256GB SSD (Crucial M4) some time ago. Everything is working perfectly, including sleep when I close and open the lid.
Then I put the 500GB drive in the Ultrabay using the 43N3412 adapter. I got it somewhere on the Internet, not from Lenovo. But it works fine.
Everything is working perfect... except resume from sleep. When I open the T410, there is flash of the HD indicator LED and the fan starts spinning but nothing happens for a few very long minutes. Then the system finally comes to life and is working perfectly.
It's very annoying and time consuming. So much so that I've had to disabled sleep on my computer, instead it goes into hibernate mode when I close the lid.
I'd like to get sleep/resume to work... and I've tried EVERYTHING I could think of (drivers, system update, BIOS update, etc, etc). I know it's related to the Ultrabay drive because when I take it out, suspend/resume works fine.
I'm out of ideas. Help!
Extremely slow resume from sleep
