Slow to Recognize USB Flash Drive
My T60 takes nearly a minute to recognize any USB Flash drive. This happens on all three USB portss. Any thoughts?

Re: Slow to Recognize USB Flash Drive
Thanks to those who viewed my post. I had two brands of flash drives that both took 1 to 1.5 minutes to be recognized. I purchased a third brand (SanDisk) and it is recognized in seconds as it should be so the problem is not with the T60 USB ports.
One of the brands that is slow to be recognized on my T60 is Verbatim. Some additional web research shows that there seems to be a problem with Acronis True Image Home 2012 drivers that cause this slow recognition with some flash drive brands.
Please also accept my apologies for posting in the T4x0/T5x0 group instead of the T6x group. From my point of view, this issue (relative to ThinkPads) should be considered resolved.

Re: Slow to Recognize USB Flash Drive
I have similar issues with flash drives on the X31 when booting Linux Live.
So far, the HP/PNY thumbnail-sized drives and the Sandisk "Blade" boot immediately, while the Sandisk Cruzer and the Kingston Datatraveler series must wait 90 seconds for the system to timeout before they will boot.
