Hello,

It happened ! I would like to byuy an SSD drive for performance only.

I have looked on SSD's avalaible in Poland and I noticed that these disks are popular in shops :)

My first question is about interface - which will be faster - ? Plugged against hdd or into minipcie? I have wwan slot free [minipcie]

Second question is about speed/performance of the standard hdd slot in t410

I need SSD for system and few apps only - my t410 is not a portable computer - I am using it as desktop. Performance is the most importance

regards

I used the Kingston SSDNow V+100 bought 18 months ago, never looked back ;)

Read speed is *great*.

The T410 should be SATA II - it'll be faster that the pcie slot. I had an Intel X25-M generation 2 in my T410 and it worked nicely. I'd likely grab whichever of the following happened to be on sale this week:

1) Intel 520 series
2) Samsung 830 series
3) Crucial M4 series

Good luck, you'll enjoy the SSD.

I'm searching possible options now. I would like to know what you are using and what is best ;)

I'm thinking about bying good esatax2 expresscard controller and making raid0 on two classical 7200 rpm harddisk else. What should be faster? I have backup solutions for raid0 :))

From a performance perspective for most uses there's little to differnetiate one SSD from the next as they're all blazingly fast. I'd buy on price.

The Sandforce 2281 based drives are what I like. Here is my recommended list:

1. Corsair Force GT
2. Corsair Force 3
3. Intel 520
4. Patriot Wildfire
5. Patriot Pyro SE
