T520 hinge concerns/missing screw, maybe?

I picked up a new T520 this month, and for the most part, love it. It's T520 #2 for me, so I knew what I was getting into. I just noticed, however, a potential point of concern with regard to the hinges, however: a small gap exists between the base of the left hinge and the end of the keyboard bezel, such that I can see down to the "small" part of the hinge below the large rectangular bit (see pictures for reference. Also, looking on the back side of the computer, the back of the hinge base is not flush with the plastic, as it is on the right hinge (and as I recall ~both~ being on my first T520). Finally, if I exert some pressure normal to the hinge (back of the hinge towards the front edge of the machine, in compression, there is some give to the point that the whole assembly can get "in alignment" until I let go. Is this just poor tolerancing, or do you think there's perhaps a screw missing somewhere? I really don't want to (nor do I think I should need to) strip my new machine down to the frame to check this out....any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any feedback...pictures are linked below for reference (large pictures, be warned) I don't mean to make a mountain out of a molehil, but neither do I want to compromise if there's a problem. I can live with imperfect tolerancing/QC, but not if it's at the expense of structural issues.
