I 've been looking for info about the kind of adaptors, or cables, or combination of both, I need in order to connect the DisplayPort on my Thinkpad with the HDMI port on my HD Samsung TV. So far, my searches led me nowhere. My Thinkpad is a T510, with NVS 3200M and a display resolution of 1920 x 1080. My TV is Samsung Model # LN 32 D403 E4D. Has anyone resolved this particular problem? I would be very grateful for any kind of pertinent information.

What wireless card is installed in your machine? You may be able to use wireless to stream to a device like a Belkin ScreenCast if you have the appropriate Intel card.

You need:
1) Displayport-to-HDMI adapter, preferably branded, marked 'with audio'.
2) HDMI cable v1.4 or v1.3.
