Hi,

does anyone has experience removing the LCD bezel on T420?

I read the instruction from lenovo http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloa ... D=PD008472 but seems it is not so details.

and since this bezel doesn't have any screw I am not sure the safest way to do this, what kind of tools that can be used for this action.

link of instruction, video or sharing would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

I'd try a putty knife. As I recall from when I watched my friendly local IBM contractor do an LCD replacement, it takes quite a bit of force and prying to get it free (since it bascially just snaps in place.)

Personally I'd go slow and be careful lest you break the retaining clips.

Thanks for your sharing experience ThinkRob, I am new here and I thought it was useless to post question here, since nobody has responded.

No problem. Again, I'd stress the "be gentle" part of my advice... :D

UPDATE:
Finally I have time to tinker my T420, and successfully and safely remove the LCD bezel :D. (THANKS to Thinkrob for the tips).
I used pallet knife like image below:

i found that the easiest way to start is from left side bottom.
