Intel 320 SSD t420s installation advice please.

I am about to install an Intel 320 SSD in a t420s.

Any advice would be appreciated as to what steps I should take for this intallation.

I have looked in the archives but I am looking for the current best advice.

PS Is the 320 still the recommened drive for the 420s?

the 320 series is great. I have two, one in an X201s and another in an X61. These are 2.5" drive machines so all I had to do was put them in a caddy and insert. In your case the T420s has a 7mm high drive slot, so you would need some precision screwdrivers (don't know which size) to remove a small black spacer around the top of the ssd in order to make it fit. This shouldn't be difficult, and you can proceed from there just like with any other hdd. good luck!
