repair keyboard

#1 Post by Mighty_Mauz » Wed Aug 22, 2012 7:24 am

There are 3 keys that are less responsive and I was wondering if I can try something before ordering a new keyboard. I have already lifted the keys from the board and tried to wipe it clean. I also disassembled the white plastic springs, and tried to clean there. But it only made it worse! My I-key is very unresponsive. Is there a way to fix it?

If a key responds poorly and you have already cleaned out the junk from under the key, you probably need a new one

Hmmz, I also have an old R60. I would like to try to switch the keyboards. They have the same size, would that work?

Yes that worked! The R60 keys are a bit sturdier, but everything else is the same. Problem temporarily solved!
