T420 screen upgrade, HD -> HD+

Hi, I think it may be time to retire my Faithful T60 so I have decided I want to grab myself a second hand T420 (It's JUST in my budget).
I have found a great priced one on ebay except it uses the HD screen instead of the HD+ screen. Would it be possible to buy the HD+ panel and fit it myself and have it work? Would it maybe require a BIOS flash or something?
Genuinely couldnt find anything while search hence the new topic. I know there was an issue on the T60 where some panels had chips built in so you couldnt do something like this but i dont know if they continued to do it.
Any help would be awesome.
