problem with DisplayPort to HDMI cable

I bought a new displayport to hdmi cable few weeks.
I tried to connect it to Sony TV and I got the message "No Signal".
then, I tried to connect to other TV and I got the message "Out of range".
what should I do?(I tried to change resolution and use fn+F7 and it doesn't help)
I have lenovo thinkpad T410
moreover, once it worked in 1 TV.
And I connect with other pc with other cable (hdmi to hdmi) and it work on tv.

Since the cables/adapters are so cheap online, I would replace that first. Does your T410 have NVS 3100M?
