T400 screen dim on startup

Hi,
When my laptop starts, the screen appears extremely dim. After the startup screen, the screen goes blank, however, windows does startup correctly as I can hear the OS welcome music. I can also hear the HD spinning and the WiFi light is also on. Once the os starts up, the wireless light is the only light that is on, whereas the other lights such as battery indicator, power on etc. are all off. So I am guessing that the issue is not with the inverter card.
But all the other function lights, such as HD light, battery indicator etc. do not turn on. I have restarted the computer several times and also removed and reinstalled the battery, but the issue persists. The issue is there even if I startup without the battery. I had recently got the laptop screen, motherboard, lcd cable and hard drive replaced at a Lenovo service center, so every thing is as good as new.
I ordered a new inverter card and installed it, but the screen is still dim on startup as before.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone could suggest potential solutions.
Thanks.
