T400 and NO-1802.COM

#1 Post by Guz » Thu Sep 27, 2012 5:59 pm

Has anyone tried the good old standby NO-1802.COM on a T400? To allow a non Lenovo WiFi adapter.

My T400 doesn't support 5Ghz, but I have an Intel 2915abg laying around that does support 5Ghz and would like to put it in my T400.

You've got it all wrong...

A) you can't put a 2915ABG in a T400, it's not even close to the format required.

B) 2915ABG does not support 5GHz in the "N" band. It doesn't support "N" at all, and I doubt that you'll have much use of "A" nowadays...

C) "No-1802" hack doesn't work on any ThinkPad after T42/p, you'll need a modded BIOS in order to utilize a non-Lenovo card...

Good luck.
