help me activate wwan ericssion F3507G for thinkpad T400
I use GSM in Vietnam (in Vietnam GSM 3G has provider: Vinaphone, Mobifone, Viettel). Lenovo Thinkvantage toolbox has show: wwan installed but not activated. When i use Mobile Broadband activation but not activated, not connected by access connections. i must connect by setup dial-up.

I'm pretty sure I you need to activate it with a WWAN provider. Or it activated and the TP is not recognizing the card?

I have the F3507G on a used T400 I bought about a year ago and I've made it work. As it's a year ago, there are some details which I remember and some which I don't, but here goes:
I do know/remember that:
- after having installed Win7 on the machine, no auto update software (i.e. winupdate or TP update) found any driver for it
- I googled it and found a driver somewhere
- the driver details (as taken from HW properties) are Supplier: Ericsson, Date: 2011-02-08, Version: 1.3.0.11
- it connected fine to my operator (Tele2 Sweden)
- it works ok'ish in dense coverage areas and is pretty much useless in low coverage/signal challenging environments (e.g. on a train)
In addition to that, I seem to remember that once HW is recognized you can use the built in dial-up function in Windows7, but after a long day I can't be bothered to start swapping around sim-cards to verify that, so get back to me if you get stuck on that step.

I had to use Lenovo Access Connections to create a new WWAN connection in Windows 7. I haven't found a way to create and configure it by Windows 7 built-in wizards.
As for SIM card activation it is up to the mobile provider. There is
Lenovo Mobile Broadband Activation application that might work for you. It does not work for developing countries like mine because the SIM card has to be activated by a
phone call only over here. Yes, it is pretty stupid since WWAN module can not make any phone calls. No wonder because all mobile providers over here are stupid ...
