Sometime after installing windows 8 on my T410 the resolution has become altered from 1440x900 (the correct res) to 1280x800

I tried reinstalling the display drivers but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

Did you try to run the Lenovo System Update?

What does device manager say that your display adapter is right now? Are you configured to use Intel, Nvidia, or Optimus?

Intel (R) HD Graphics - it has the yellow warning sign/exclamation sign though, and says the following
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

No, I don't think so. I'm on the consumer preview version of Windows 8, and have no Lenovo software installed on my ThinkPad.

edit: rolling back the driver seems to have fixed the problem.
