Why is the rear exhaust vent covered on the new T530?

Why is the rear exhaust vent covered on the new T530?

I'm just really curious why the heck the rear exhaust vent is covered now? If one looks closely within the exhaust opening, you will see a black cover hiding the cooling fins, which are normally in view. I just noticed this recently. Thanks.
