broadcom BCM4313 for T500

Hello Guys..
i want to know : is half pci card broadcom BCM4313 (combo (wifi and bluetooth)) work in my T500 (Type 2055 - B46)?

My friend want to give it to me. This pci is from Dell leptop.

Sorry, but that would be a no go. The ThinkPad T series have a BIOS whitelist where the only models of wifi cards that will work are the ones that were originally offered on the ThinkPads. To get that card to work in you T500, you would need to get the hardware id of the card and then either have your BIOS hacked or hack your BIOS yourself to add that card to the whitelist.

now, how can i hack the BIOS? Is it something will be have a negative impact to my T500 ?

As long as you are familiar with the process of flashing your BIOS, there is no negative impact. If you are good at following directions, then you have nothing to worry about. If you skip steps in the process, you could ruin your motherboard. Talk to the folks at BIOS Mods on MDL. They have a requests section where they will do it for you. I had someone over there do it for me for free. The person never asked for money, but I sent them $15 on paypal anyway because I was so appreciative. I told whoever it was to get a 12 pack of beer on me.

I found this article in thinkpad community, here, in Indonesia. They not reccommend hackin BIOS. They recommend Tapping PIN 20.

Report :

I am trying to install BCM4313 from Dell leptop.
1. before flashing BIOS, my T500 did not run, i read a BIOS warning.
2. I flash BIOS, BCM 4313 detect and windows automatically search the driver and BCM 4313 installed very good.
3. I try the BCM 4313 to detect bluetooth. But it could not detect...
4. Conclusion : use lenovo part. :D
