Why my SAMSUNG 830 Series SSD seem slow?

Hello all,
For some reason, my new Samsung 128GB 830 Series seem slower compared to a traditional hard drive. This is what makes me believe so:
The SSD is installed on my Lenovo ThinkPad T400 (Windows 7 x64, 8GB DDR3, Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 (2.80GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 6MB Cache)
For comparison's sake, I list my Dell desktop computer specs as well:
Dell Inspiron 530 model, with Windows XP Pro, 2GB DDR2 RAM, Intel Celeron, and a 5200RPM hdd.
About half an hour ago (10:36 to be exact), I started the Colantrao Amiga Forever setup on both systems, and strangely the T400 seems stalled (it is 10:55 as of this writing). It took only 2 minutes for this program to be installed on my old DELL desktop however.
What seem to be taking so long on this drive?
I know my T400 does not support the new SATA III transfer rates, but nor does my old Dell XP Pro, and it took only 2 minutes for it to install the software. There is something not right here.
It is 10:58 and the setup is still not finished.
