Drive T500 LCD with T400

#1 Post by MunkyCheez » Wed Feb 27, 2013 12:05 am

Hey everyone,

First, I apologize if this has already been asked on the forum (I couldn't find a definite answer). I have a buddy who has a T400 and a T500. The T400 works fine, but the T500 has a bad motherboard. He wants to get the T500 working, but before he orders a new motherboard he wants to test the LCD to make sure the motherboard is the only broken part. Can he safely plug the T500 LCD into a T400 to test it? Or will it draw too much power for the larger display or something? I wish I knew the answer to this offhand, but I haven't been fortunate enough to get my hands on any T4x0 or T5x0 machines yet... Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
