Hi,
I am wondering what I should buy to have main system - windows 7 on hdd, and second xp ( for diagnostic car and security systems diagnostic tools ) on separate drives?
I can free PCIe slot for WWLAN, and outside express card? Will it be bootable as second drive?
I know that I can use multibay adapter for hdd, but I want to have dvd also.

I have T410, 2537.

If it were me and the ultrabay was not an option, I would get a 240GB SSD and then partition it for the two operating systems.

If you are only using the DVD drive with one of the operating systems or the other, then you could just swap one of the hard drives out back and forth in the ultrabay with the DVD drive.

Another option would be to put a hard drive in the ultrabay and then use one of those $30 USB DVD drives for whenever you needed it.

The PCIe and Expresscard drives are hard to find, expensive, and suck.

You are assuming cost $$$$$$ is not an issue! 240GB SSD?

They don't cost that much. I got my 256GB Agility 4 on sale for $109. You just have to look. He can get whatever size he wants. I am not telling him his only option is 240GB. If he thinks he can fit everything he needs on 120GB, 160GB, or 180GB, then that's great.

I've a Samsung 830 SSD with 4 partitions (XP-W7- Datas and an other one for the portables browsers Opera'n FireFox) managed by VistaBoot Pro 3.1
That works fine :)
