T400 vs E530c

Hello all,
Lately I have noticed that my T400 (Win7 Pro, 129GB SDD Samsung, 8GB DDR3) runs a bit slow. Now I have an option of even exchange between my T400 and a brand new, boxed ThinkPad E530c (I could not find specific forum sub-section on these forums for this particular model).

The new E530C ThinkPad has the following:
320GB Hdd
2GB DDR3

Which one should I keep?

I mean I understand that it is comparing apple and oranges, and my T400 has been heavily upgraded (I have even an option to transfer all these upgrades to the new E530C model), the only thing making me hesitate is the "classic" look, feel of the T400, versus the new design of E530C.

your opinions are greatly appreciated.

It would be hard for me too to decide , but the E530 CPU is years ahead of your T400 CPU same as your SSD is years ahead of E530 classic HDD. What applications are you running? If you can keep your SSD, than the new Ivy Bridge CPU mixed with your fast SSD would be a real workhorse. Of course, you'll find that you have to upgrade the memory too, 2GB is not enough. So, you need to decide if you really love your T400 or if you really need the extra power; I'd not go with the E530 if it's not i5 or i7 or if its display is HD only.
