T400 Base Cover Assembly Query

Afternoon All,
Quick one for you guys & girls - my mate's gone & cracked the 'ell out of the base cover of his T400 (2768-11G) and he's needing a hand to get it replaced, as quite literally you can see the motherboard showing through the crack.
Only catch is according to the Lenovo Support website it's a specific part number of 43Y9659 that's needed to replace it, which is nigh on impossible to get cheaply off of eBay UK - does anybody happen to know if the base cover from another T400 sub-model would be compatible at all or does 43Y9659 have additional specific hardware present for the structure frame to attach to?

EDIT: Quick update to advise that the base units don't appear to have much of a difference according to my mate, as he managed to get a couple of them from his work's IT Group (they were heading to the bin) and they managed to switch it out for him.
