T500 CPU T9900 vs Core i3 2310M

#1 Post by hoax32 » Sun Apr 14, 2013 10:32 pm

Sup Think - Crew!
Title says it all!
Which CPU would win the struggle?

T9900 has more L2 and a higher clock but the i3 is much new engineering.
What modern CPU's are comparable to the T9900?
Thanks for replies! :thumbs-UP:

Just about the same;

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu ... 40+3.06GHz

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu ... 40+2.10GHz

With the 2310M being a Little faster, and using less power.

OK great!
Now I have to decide between a ATI HD3650 and a Intel HD4000.

The HD4000 is WAY better than the HD3650;

http://www.notebookcheck.net/ATI-Mobili ... 839.0.html

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-G ... 168.0.html

However the HD4000s performance depends on the processor. It get between above 4k, and to below 850...

On default settings in 3D mark 06 I get 5039 with a %10 Overclock.
I have 8GB of DDR3 ram and I noticed that the shared GPU memory is almost double when I run the T500 with 8GB vs 4GB.
Maybe all the people who have submitted scores, ran 3D Mark 06 with DDR2/GDDR2/DDR3 models of the HD3650 and only 4GB Ram. idk
I know I could push the GPU a little more (temps cap at mid 60's).
Maybe I can get another %5-%10 clock out of it.

Also I get over 27K on 3D Mark 2001SE vs 15K (HD4000).
