The spec sheet for this model stipulates 4gb ram maximum.

Yet on ebay I see alot of vendors selling 8gb (2 x 4gb) for this T500.

T500 do support more 8GB. At the time the T500 were out in the market there were probably no 4GB RAM modules. I have 8GB in one of my T500, and I'm sure I'm not the only one

According to the Ebay picture seems to be the right RAM
