When i replaced the LCD on my T410s, i forgot to remove the battery. It powers up just fine, for some reason the ThinkLight comes on every time, but i have no backlight. is there anywhere i can send it to replace the fuse?

Another thought i had would be to swap in a t420s or t430s motherboard. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I don't think it will work, at least not without modding the bottom case; take a look at the back of the T420s and T410s here, there are some visible differences (VGA on the opposite sides, e-SATA on T410s but not on T420s, the ethernet port not on the same position):

More than that, I know T410s uses 1.8 HDDs/SSDs (with different connector than the regular 2.5" one?), pay attention T420s uses 2.5" HDDs/SSDs 7mm height; I'm not sure, even you're modding the back of the bottom case, if you can put a 2.5" in a T410s case without doing other modifications.

Lenovo only replaces motherboards. You need fairly good equipment to work on the boards. A quartz preheater and a good temperature-controlled rework station would be the minimum. Which board do you need? (CPU and graphics type) I have a couple in stock and could offer an exchange
